Article IX: Parliamentary Authority

9.01 As a chartered club of the Yolo County Democratic Central Committee, the Club shall be subject to all relevant provisions of national, state, and county Democratic organization bylaws, provisions of these bylaws notwithstanding.

9.02 The rules contained in the current edition of Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised Edition to the extent they do not conflict with these bylaws or with standing rules adopted by the membership, shall govern the Club.

9.03 The Club shall adopt all standing rules by a two-thirds vote of those present and constituting a quorum at a regular meeting per the agenda.

9.04 The President may appoint, at their discretion, a Club member to act as Parliamentarian, who shall act as advisor to the President and the membership on matters and questions of parliamentary authority and procedure.
